They also have access to a ton of debuffs, although a lot of them are only marginally effective with the current resistances and immunities on everything.Update your favorites! They've got a lot of abilities that can help other players out and generally just cause a lot of headaches for the opposition. In space, they're something of a jack-of-all-trades supportive class. They also have access to some very mean debuffs and stuns, but science generally runs with a lot of heals. On ground, science can be stupidly hard to kill and can probably tank better than any other class, blindfolded. They're a pretty 'selfish' class(most space engineering skills only effect you, personally), but they do have some nice support options at the higher bridge slots. In space, they are the most resilient class which can reduce incoming damage substantially and repair themselves at alarming rates. They can use a plethora of deployable devices - from mines to turrets to shield 'bubbles' in addition to a lot of support supportive shield heals and mechanical debuffs On ground, Engineers can be a lot of fun. In space, they're very much about using attack patterns(buffs/debuffs) to maximize their damage They do have some decent defensive buffs and AE attacks, but need help to survive longer engagements. These are extremely squishy on ground, but they can do some stupid amounts of damage - very "rogue" playstyle. Sure, there are racial abilities for each one, but they honestly don't make that much of a difference to worry that much about it. Honestly, the Race is moreso what your want your character to look like.
